Ingredients: Brown Rice, Marinated Tofu (see our "Marinated tofu"recipe for reference), Green Cabbage, Red Cabbage, White Sesame Oil, Soy Sauce, Brown Sugar, Water, Black Peppercorns, Crushed Fresh Ginger, Crushed Garlic, White Sesame Seeds, Spring Mix
1. Sauce preparation:
Add soy sauce, brown sugar, water, black pepper, garlic and ginger in a saucepan.
Bring to a boil, then turn heat to medium low
Reduce the liquid for 15 minutes.
Turn off the stove. Let cool for another 15 minutes, uncovered.
2. Cooking Instructions:
Cook brown rice (1:1 with water)
Place tofu slices on a skillet. Heat on medium-high heat for 2 minutes on each side.
Add 1 Tbsp of teriyaki sauce. Stir quickly, set tofu aside and leave the sauce on the skillet.
Add the cabbages and stir quickly. Cover the skillet and let cook for 4 minutes.
Add sesame oil into the cabbages and stir for 1 minutes on medium-high heat.
Place the warm rice on a plate. Place spring mix at the top.
Place stir-fried cabbages at the bottom, and place tofu on top the rice and cabbages.
Drizzle with the remaining sauce on tofu, and sprinkle sesame seeds on top of tofu and cabbages.
